What's your minimum storage period?

We have a one-month minimum storage period. If you only need the unit for a short time you don’t need to keep the unit for this minimum storage period but do need to pay the minimum period of rental.

What notice do I need to give to move out?

You can move out any time after your one-month minimum storage period. We like to keep things as flexible as possible, so we only ask for 2 weeks notice.

How do I sign up for a unit?

It’s really easy to sign up with Pinnacle Storage. We just need you to sign a contract and show us a form of ID (passport, driver’s licence).

If you’re local, you're welcome to pop into our office to sign up. But if you would prefer or are in a different town, city or country, we can get you signed up remotely using our online sign up form.

When you sign up, we will ask for the first month's storage fees in advance plus a $15 admin fee.

How do I pay for my unit?

After the minimum one month storage period, you can choose to pay weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.

We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa/Mastercard and bank transfer payments.

We can also set up a direct debit which deducts your rent from either a bank account or a Visa/Mastercard.

What about insurance?

Pinnacle Storage does not insure your belongings. Your household insurance typically covers your belongings stored with us. But we recommend you let your insurance company know that you’re storing stuff at one of our facilities. We also offer insurance options at very competitive rates.

Can you help me move in?

We have a range of local and national moving companies that we recommend. So if you need a recommendation, we can point you in the right direction.

What kind of security do you have?

Our facility has:

  • 24/7 CCTV monitoring

  • Gated access 7 days a week (6am-10pm)

  • Manager on-site during business hours

  • Individual unit alarms (controlled with your gate access)

  • Floodlighting

  • Security fencing

  • Guard callouts

How do I know what unit size I need?

When can I access my unit?

Access is available from 6AM to 10PM, 7 days per week. This includes public holidays.

Do I need to provide my own padlock?

Yes, you will need to supply your own padlock for your unit. Don’t have one? No sweat. We’ve got padlocks available for purchase in our office.

What can I do in my unit?

If you have a specific use in mind besides general storage, it’s best to check with us first.

A lot of businesses use our storage as a base for storing stock or packing up orders. But we don’t allow anything that poses a fire risk (like vehicle restoration/repairs), health and safety risk, or anything that might disturb other customers.

What can/can't I store in my unit?

You can store most things, but you can’t store perishable items, like food (even if its packaged or wrapped), stolen or illegal items, or hazardous things that can catch fire or explode.

Keeping you (and your storage), plus our staff and facility safe is our number one priority.
